WHY 
We are pregnant! 
And I take being a father seriously. As much as I love and gain joy from fatherhood and getting to know young people, I feel very responsible for the way they learn to interact with the world. This song reflects that. 

WHAT 
I composed around a recording of a baby's heartbeat, still in utero. 

WHO 
In the case of the parent who is not carrying the child, most often a man, the emotions of wanting to be prepared for the child's arrival is often not expressed in song. Safety including monetary and emotional preparation is felt. This song is written from the point of view of a new parent, wanting the world to be ideal before the child arrives to interact with it.
